For the past few years, Qualcomm has held an annual event in Hawaii for the past few years to announce the latest flagship chipset. The company took the opportunity to show off the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 this year.
Like previous flagship chipsets, Qualcomm has worked hard to improve its camera experience. Gen 1 has an 18-bit image signal processor. Gen 1 phones can also take 3.2 gigabytes of photos per second. In practice, this means that Gen 1 can process data simultaneously with three 36-megapixel cameras without any delay, says Qualcomm.
